How does Revolution Macalibrum™ help?
Once you reach your 30's natural production of hormones such as testosterone and
growth hormone decreases, resulting in lower energy levels, and other common signs
of aging. This decline in hormone production accelerates with age. Revolution Macalibrium® Men,
through its adaptogenic properties, stimulates your body’s production of natural
hormones to optimal levels, improving health, increasing energy and enhancing wellbeing.
The data from our pharmacology research on Revolution demonstrates:
- Increased blood glucose*
- Reduced triglycerides*
- Support for sperm production*
- Enhanced sexual function*

How does Revolution Macalibrium® Men work?
Revolution works primarily through its adaptogenic properties. Stimulation of the
hypothalamus (through your pituitary and adrenal glands and your nervous system),
induces your body to create a healthy balanced state that promotes optimal health.
Revolution therefore works in a unique way for each man – supporting your individual
biological make-up and optimizing your personal health status at any stage of your
life.

What is Revolution Macalibrium® Men?
The primary ingredient of Revolution Macalibrium® Men is Maca-OG™.
Maca-OG™ is not a normal Maca product but is one of the highest quality nutraceuticals
on the market today. Maca-OG™ is an organically grown and processed, proprietary
combination and ratio of four major phenotypes of Lepidium peruvianum Chacon – a
specific species of the herb commonly known as Maca. There are 13 different phenotypes
of Lepidium peruvianum Chacon – many appearing to display different gender and age-related
therapeutic effects. From the organic Maca roots, which are planted and grown on
NHI’s plantation at 4,300m in the Peruvian Andes, NHI selects specific phenotypes.
After harvest, the Maca roots are dried using traditional organic methods to enhance
and maximize the desired therapeutic effects of the herb. They are then put through
NHI’s patented †, organic and GMP certified, manufacturing process. To our knowledge
NHI’s entire process, which avoids extreme heat, chlorine and other chemicals, is
the only 100% natural and organic method currently in operation in Peru. With these
superior methods applied across the board from production to manufacture, the process
results in Maca-OG™. This is a concentrated, herbal preparation with enhanced therapeutic
potency based on the entire spectrum of active constituents as compared to standard
Maca powder. In a comparative laboratory study on Maca-OG™, it has been further
shown, that when compared to the highest quality Maca extracts on the market, not
only does Maca-GO™ have a higher level of actives, but also a much wider spectrum
of key actives which contribute to reported high potency of Revolution Macalibrium® Men.

FAQ
1. What is an adaptogen?
In 1968, Israel I. Brekhman, PhD, and Dr. I. V. Dardymov formally gave adaptogens
a functional definition, as follows:
- An adaptogen is nontoxic to the recipient.
- An adaptogen produces a nonspecific response in the body—an increase in the power
of resistance against multiple stressors including physical, chemical, or biological
agents.
- An adaptogen has a normalizing influence on physiology, irrespective of the direction
of change from physiological norms caused by the stressor.
Very simply, adaptogens are nontoxic, produce a nonspecific defensive response to
stress, and have a normalizing influence on the body. They normalize the hypothalamic
pituitary adrenal axis.
Adaptogenic herbs are unique from other substances in their ability to balance endocrine
hormones and the immune system, and they help the body to maintain optimal homeostasis.
Adaptogens have a normalizing effect on the body and are capable of either toning
down the activity of hyper functioning systems or strengthening the activity of
hypo functioning systems.
2. What’s the difference between Maca-OG™ and other products with maca as an ingredient?
There are 2 quite distinct species of Maca:
- Lepidium meyenii Walpers and
- Lepidium peruvianum Chacon
Lepidium peruvianum Chacon is the only species shown to have a therapeutic effect
and importantly only Lepidium peruvianum Chacon grown above 4,000m has been proven
to have therapeutic efficacy.
Lepidium peruvianum Chacon also contains several different phenotypes or sub species.
Each phenotype has a specific physiological affect on the body with Maca-OG™ containing
a specific phenotype combination. NHI standardises Maca-OG™ to ensure that every
batch is consistent with the quality of the product used in our clinical trials.
NHI also has a different phenotype combination for women called Maca-GO™.
- Revolution (Maca-OG™) for men
- Femmenessence (Maca-GO™) for women
Maca-OG™ is further differentiated from other maca products by NHI’s patented (Provisional
Patent U.S. No. 60/819,583) manufacturing process which increases the concentration
of the entire spectrum of actives. For further information on NHI’s proprietary
manufacturing processes go to Manufacturing.
4. What if I’m on thyroid medication?
Because of Revolution’s adaptogenic effects (including effect on thyroid), clients
taking Thyoxine/Oroxine or herbal preparations for under active thyroid or (e.g.
Hashimoto) need to be carefully monitored to avoid possibility of thyroxin overdose.
If you are taking thyroid hormone or other medication, you should consult your
health practitioner. Monitoring of hormone levels may indicate reduction of thyroid
or other medication in accordance with your personal sensitivity to recommended
dosage of Revolution.
3. What’s the difference between Maca-GO™ and other products with maca as an ingredient?
- Clinical trials
- Phenotype combination and ratio
- High concentration of all actives
- USDA, EU and JA Organically certified
Maca-GO™ is the only product made from Maca that is clinically proven to statistically
significantly improve hormone levels, reduce menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes,
night sweats and mood swing and positively effect bone and heart health. We understand
that this is a strong statement to make so we have put our money where our mouth
is - if you can find a published human clinical trial which shows another maca product
to positively effect hormone levels, reduce symptoms and positively effect bone
and heart health we will send you a year’s supply of Femmenessence for free.
Maca-GO™ is only manufactured with Lepidium peruvianum Chacon which is grown in certain
regions of the Peruvian Highlands above 4,000m and has been proven to have therapeutic
efficacy.
Lepidium peruvianum Chacon also contains several different phenotypes or sub species.
Each phenotype has a specific physiological affect on the body with Maca-GO™ containing
a specific phenotype combination and ratio. NHI standardises Maca-GO™ to ensure
that every batch is consistent with the quality of the product used in our clinical
trials. NHI also has a different phenotype combination for men called Maca-OG™.
- Femmenessence (Maca-GO™) for women
- Revolution (Maca-OG™) for men
Maca-GO™ is further differentiated from other maca products by NHI’s patented (Provisional
Patent U.S. No. 60/819,583) manufacturing process which increases the concentration
of the entire spectrum of actives. To give you an analytical comparison of the quality
comparison of Maca-GO™ versus the top selling maca extracts, which are themselves
10:1 or 4:1 concentrations of normal maca powders or gelatinized maca. Below is
a TLC spectro-analysis:
