How is Herbatonin® different?
Herbatonin® is not synthetic. It is a 100% natural source of melatonin from plants,
extracted and concentrated in a naturally-occurring form. This plant-melatonin is
embedded within the bio-available cell matrix of specific plants and is bio-identical
to human melatonin. Herbatonin® vegetarian capsules contain no solvents, excipients
or chemicals of any kind, just the 100% pure herbal powder.

How does Herbatonin® work?
Independent studies† show that melatonin mimics the actions of the natural hormone
made by the pineal gland in the brain – this hormone controls sleeping patterns
and your body's internal clock.
Melatonin is a hormone released from the pineal gland each night to help you sleep
by aiding bio- rhythm regulation. Melatonin secretion is enhanced in darkness, decreased
by light exposure and also declines with age. This is one of the reasons many older
people find it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
With bio-rhythms easily disturbed by stress, changing time-zones and rotating work
shifts, melatonin has a number of potential health benefits:
- Reduces the effect of jet lag and improves sleeping patterns.
- Acts as an anti-oxidant (scavenging free radicals): Melatonin has been found to
stimulate natural anti-oxidant systems in addition to offering protection to the
DNA present within cells. The ability of melatonin to inhibit oxidative damage has
been tested in numerous clinical studies.
